I do not recommend Fast Hosts.co.ukAs far as I am aware this company has just charged me £400 for an account I canceled a month ago which they never actioned, and looks like I'm not going to see a penny back.In my opinion, how any company that displays the arrogance of this outfit manage to stay in business is beyond me.I've just moved to Heart Internet and they are like a breath of fresh air.

Bad Points: Queue position 61 when I called support Problem with their SSL server was not resolved for 2 weeks Accounts never respond to emails
General comments: I do not recommend Fast Hosts! I have had the experience to be a reseller of this company for 4 years and in my opinion the quality of the hosting has deteriorated to the point where eCommerce sites have not functioned due to server problems as far as I am concerned, their technical support staff have been unhelpful, extremely unhelpful when dealing with customers. Their accounts team as far as I am aware have not yet responded to emails, for example when I complained they had taken payments from our credit card for services that I personally beleive they didn't supply or provide. I cant think of any positive experience I personally have had therefore I do not recommend www.fasthosts.co.uk.

In a word, unhelpful. Tried to set up an account today. Reached confirmation screen saying a sales rep would call back within 15 mins. As far as I am aware nothing. An hour of waiting later and we called them (not via the 0870 number thankfully). Our first few attempts at queuing saw us cut off. Absolutely no good points in my experience. Everything bad for me. Six months on and I'm still locked out of my account! As far as I am aware I have not received a password reminder or anything from Fast Hosts! Therefore I do not recommend to go on www.fasthosts.co.uk.

Accused of abuse today, never got email, got cut off without warning. Still don't know what I've done, I had a small website with few visitors. My account suspended, so I can't transfer domains to new server. Wish I'd never signed up.

I wish I had checked fasthosts on this site before using them, they have been nothing but trouble for me since I started using them. When I registered my domain name (which I would have thought was automatic) I think they gave my the wrong URL than the one I typed in (which they were going to charge me for but I shouted on the phone). Not able to trust this company to do the right thing if any problems in the future. Appalling behaviour and non-existent communication over password issue/security breach on the most important day in year for our online sales (weekend 4th Dec 07) and we had to threaten legal action to get them to free up our ftp files to be able to change our webhosts. This took 2 weeks and we lost all Xmas sales.

It will take a 100 hours, however we are finally being pushed into moving our 100+ sites. We wanted to move 6 months after we joined and have been trapped by the effort it would take. They had been totally down for a whole month, before we joined, them and wished we had gone elsewhere. I recommend to not use fast hosts.co.uk.

Website going offline all the time, 30minutes unto 2 hours to get to speak to someone. Saying it is your problem when they have a fault with their server, the emails you get back if you use the online support is all IT talk that you don't understand as they all think that you know 100% what you are doing so not customer friendly. Hosting with them for 3 odd years now on dedicated servers and same story too much hassle to move on so my own fault. But others thinking of using them beware. After using their INSTANT sign up, I was told to wait and would receive a phone call from their staff within the next 15minutes. Be aware of the terms and conditions. My experience is that everything is an online purchase and charged to my credit card. Ive not yet recieved invoices informing me of when and for what they will be debiting my account, I have recieved bills even for services that as far as I am concernec I was unaware I had asked for. These have got to be the worst level of service I have ever experienced. Do not use them. We have rented two servers from fast hosts, and while it is cheap, when we had problems, these were never sorted out quickly, some not even at all. As far as I am aware they never returned support emails either. Dont recommend Fast Hosts.

As far as I am aware they are one of the bigest companies, however in my opinion they are the worst. They recently made an error on my billing and refused to credit it back to my card. With their attitude, I'm surprised they still have a business. Whilst writing this review, I have moved from que position 27 to queue position 14 - at least I'm not paying their 0870 No! WHAT EVER YOU DO, I RECOMMEND TO NOT USE FASTHOSTS. There's zero customer sevice and I've held for hours to get through.

I found it impossible to contact Fasthosts by telephone or email in December when as far as I am aware a security breach caused them to request me to change all of my passwords. This must have happened to thousands of others too. The security breach was one thing, but in my opinion the such poor support is insufferable for me.

I have had a Reseller account with Fasthosts for about 5 years now.
Generally I've not had too many problems with them and on the odd occasion I've had to resort to using their tech support I've found them pretty competant and didn't have to wait long (looking at the rest of the comments here, perhaps I was the lucky one!!)
The thing that I want to warn people about is a section in Fasthosts T&C's which basically says "only web-viewable content may be put on our servers".
This is a bad trap to fall into. One of my customers had his 'hobby site' on my Reseller account and it was killed without warning. This (of course) happened while I was out of the country on holiday, so I couldn't help him. (His email had also been stopped too of course, which impacted him greatly).
When I got back, after some wrangling with FH support, I found that the problem was that my customer had links on his site to ZIP files for people to download. This (common use for a website) is completely forbidden by Fasthosts. If you're doing it already, you'll get away with it for as long as they don't notice.
Now my customer wrote his own little applications for generating Dungeons & Dragons type game characters, maps etc. It didn't contain anything copyrighted by anyone else, it was all HIS OWN source code and he was even giving the utilities away for free. The ZIPs were not password protected and they weren't causing any 'unfair' use of bandwidth or storage as they were getting low to moderate traffic.
It seems that they'd just decided to pull the plug because they could.
Fasthosts were totally unwilling to show any compromise whatsoever with my customer. They wouldn't even examine the zip files to see that we were telling them the truth about their content.
Net result - I lost a paying customer and now whenever I get a new one I have to quiz them about their website content and risk losing their business.
If I could find a lerss restrictive service elsewhere with ASP scripting, unlimited mailboxes, unlimited domains etc. I'd do it tomorrow.
I begrudge paying these "jobs-worths" good money, but feel trapped.

Fasthosts really you can join them thats the easy part, any body tryed leaving them? well i would like to say they will cancell your account but they will have your card details on there system and yessss! they will carry on billing!!! If you do a charge back you will end up fasthosts charching you for that.

I was a FastHosts for months, until I realized they were
taking a lot of extra money out of my bank account for no reason!!
They threatened and blackmailed me, threatening to cancel my Hosting if I reported the theft and made a big deal out of it. :(((
So far, FASTHOSTS have taken an extra £1600 out of my bank account for no reason!!

Only one client left using Fasthosts, out of many....
Once upon a time in galaxy not unlike ours Fasthosts were OK.
Overall now to be avoided at whatever cost.
They have been saying for years that they are going to upgrade Exchange 2003, it is now 2011 and guess what they still have not. As such people are being fobbed off with an old system and paying similar price to that of modern systems that would provide top notch customer services and hosting services.
They are slow to move on everything and billing is suspect at best. DO NOT "FASTHOST" EVER EVER EVER !!!
